Welcome to PRISM

FOREWORD

With delight, we put forth the next synergized piece of creation - PRISM, an assemblage of the literary contribution and glimpses of our journey through this wonderful academic year. “The first step is always the hardest.” It is a proverb that makes us conceive that initially, it's hard to start any task but as opportunities fall in your hand it develops a sense of confidence as well as a responsibility to take up the task. This perennial edition of Prism is a special edition because this edition is going to be a "photo journal" where writers will be sharing their memories from the time they spent on the University campus. PRISM is an effort to delineate the potential and bring out the writer hidden inside you. There's nothing better than to announce the first one-year celebration edition of the PRISM in this fall season where the wind is playing autumn games through the gardens and the lanes. Driving around to admire the brightly decorated homes and streets is one of my favourite things to do in winter. Something about those beamish little lights is so magical that the weather outside is frightful to make someone write.

Fall is here to make our magazine sparkle just like the Diwali lights. As we know, Diwali is an occasion of jubilation and togetherness irrespective of the religious and economic background celebrated throughout the country to ward off the darkness and welcome the light into people's lives. In the same way PRISM, too, is a privilege for the authors to let go of their elation through writing. Writing has always been a stress reliever in any situation and this platform has become a wonderful medium to express our ideas in the form of poems, micro tales, articles, quotations, and many more. The festival of Diwali has been celebrated for ages and grows in attraction by the year. Likewise, I hope this venture of ours will grow with the passage of time and will find a special place in the hearts of the readers.

प्रभावी और सार्थक उपदेश वह होता है जो वाणी से नहीं, अपने आचरण से प्रस्तुत किया जाता है।

Effective and meaningful teaching is demonstrated through behaviour rather than speech.
